Airport departures from Liverpool, Luton, Leeds Bradford, East Midlands, Manchester and London Stansted. Day 1 Flight from your local airport to Rome Ciampiano. Coach transfer to our 3 star hotel in Rome for 3 nights half board accommodation commencing with dinner tonight. Day 2 After breakfast, we will visit St. Peter's Basilica and the tombs of the Pope's, including the resting place of Pope John Paul II. In the afternoon we will have a group photograph followed by Holy Mass. We return to our hotel for dinner this evening. After dinner, we have an optional coach tour of "Rome by Night" taking in the major sights of the eternal city and includes a visit to the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. An English speaking Italian guide will accompany us to enhance your enjoyment of this wonderful tour. Day 3 Breakfast. Free morning visit to the Sistine Chapel. This the afternoon our coach will pick us up for an included tour of the Major Basilica's of Rome. St. John Lateran, St Paul's outside the walls and St Mary Major, before returning to our hotel in time for dinner. Day 4 After breakfast, we travel to San Giovanni Rotondo. On route we will visit the Abbey of Montecassino and the War Cemetery. Dinner in San Giovanni this evening. Day 5 Breakfast. We spend the full day in San Giovanni, Rotondo. Mass at the tomb of St. Padre Pio, followed by the Stations of the Cross. Dinner. Day 6 Breakfast. After Holy Mass depart San Giovanni for Assisi. On route we visit Loreto, the shrine of the Holy House believed to have come from Nazareth. Dinner in Assisi this evening. Day 7 Breakfast. Holy Mass in St. Francis Basilica, followed by a visit to the Basilica of St Clare. We also visit the church of St. Mary D'Angeli. Dinner. Day 8 After breakfast we depart Assisi for coach transfer to Rome Ciampiano Airport for our return flight.
